My Take:

I have read three of Elizabeth Camden's books and the one thing they all have in common is the excellent banter between the two main characters, which makes her books extremely entertaining BTW :) and I love how the women in her books are so strong-willed and independent. I found I could easily identify with both Luke and Anne. I admired Luke for controlling his anger as much as he did, sometimes I wanted to yell him that he needed to learn to channel it into areas that it could be used for good instead of trying to ignore it. But then Anna eventually taught him that, I just had to have patience and keep reading. 
One thing I didn't like, 

(Possible Spoiler Alert!) 

The book was going along great until I got to the part when Luke found out the real reason behind the false report of the Culpepper and acted so cold towards Anne, A few hours before finding out the truth he talked about marriage, then after he learned the truth, he acted like he didn't even know her! Yes, he was protecting her in his own way but I just didn't like it and it made it hard for me to like the novel as I did previously. But even with that being said I still like them together, how everything worked out between them in the end, and the novel itself. Overall I enjoyed this book, it's not my favorite of her novels, but still a very good read.

My take:

I had already read about when Nick met and fell in love with Kanae in one of his other books. So I really like that she told her side of the story in this book. The first half of the book seemed geared more towards singles and the last half more toward married couples. So it's a great read if you're single or if you're in a relationship. Readers will enjoy reading about Nick stories, he leads a very interesting and entertaining life, Kanae also writes several sections on her perspective. They give some very good advice on dating, marriage, and having kids Etc. Without speaking outside of their own experience. One thing that stood out is how normal Nicks life seems. He does write about living with a disability, but mostly he writes about the same things everyone deals with in life. His wisdom about life, love and marriage is worth reading no matter your age or your disability.
